Field Information and Summary
1. Game Field: UNA Community Field (near UBC SaveonFood)
2. Game Time: Saturday night, 8pm - 10pm
3. 7 on 7 half field
4. Each team is representing a faculty or a school
5. Each half 30 minutes
6. Free registration for TIOF Membership holders
7. Champions win cash price + more
Team rules:
1. Each team needs minimum of 5 to maximum of 12 players.
2. Players inside a team must be either a current or a former student/staff from the same faculty or the same academic institution (examples: Applied Science, Arts, Sauder, Uhill, SFU, Langara...). The management team reserves the rights to verify each player's identity.
3. Individual players are welcomed to sign up, then they could be assigned to the most suitable team upon approval to the team’s captain.
4. Each team needs an elected captain.
5. Each team needs to have the same color of jersey with numbers behind. Contact info@tiofsa.com if you are looking for a set of jersey.
Game rules:
1. 7 on 7 including one goalie on each side.
2. The size of the field is half field of a full soccer pitch.
3. The duration of the game is 60 minutes, with two 30 minutes halves, and a 5 minutes break.
4. In group stage, a win receives 3 points, a tie receives 1 point, and a lose receives 0 point. The team with the most points wins the group stage, and will play in Faculty Cup final. For same points, the team with higher net goals is the winner.
5. In Faculty Cup final, is single match termination. Penalty kick will be proceeded for a tie game within the regular time.
6. Yellow card is for a reckless foul, the player stays in play.
7. Red card is for an excessive foul, the player will be sent off and will be banned for the next game.
8. Unlimited substitution, no slide tackles, has offside.
9. Minimum players in play for each team is 5.
10. All other rules follow BC Soccer Law of the Game.
11. Team that abandons a game will receive 3 goals against itself.
Registration and Prize:
1. The final winning team receives prizes including $250 dollar in cash (giving to the team captain), Kelme sports items for each player and a trophy.
2. All TIOF Sports Association membership holders can register for free.
3. $30 dollars registration fee for non-membership holders.
